Our longest running case, the State continues to be disused after many years and various owners. Work to convert the building to a JD Wetherspoon pub was supposed to commence in 2019 but at the end of 2022, the company announced that they were no longer proceeding with the plans and the building was once more placed on the market. Aerial photos from this time appear to show some worrying holes in the roof.
