Odeon, Marble Arch

A successful and interesting visit started the Chelsea (Curzon) Cinema, Kings Road, London SW3. The cinema is located in the balcony area of the former Gaumont Palace cinema. Members were greeted by the manageress and shown the auditorium and projection room.

Following this visit, members travelled by service bus to Marble Arch for the Odeon visit. Here members were able to see all five screens and some of the projection facilities including the room beneath the former balcony which was the original projection room when the cinema opened with a single screen. It now houses the projectors for Screens 2 and 3 which are situated in the back part of the former stalls area.
